I was watching the new show on the Discovery Channel, they had 2 episodes on back to back. I can't believe the photography that they come up with. The world of the oceans is facinating, so many things I have never seen or imagined. It really shows that a world where all animals get along was never intended. The whole ecosystem relies on animals being preditors and others being prey.
I love to snorkel, but have only been a few times. Anybody else on here either snorkel or dive?
I wish I lived by the ocean.

I still have the original truth book that I used on my personal Bible study. And I didn't get the never ending allegiance to the FDS either, when I studied. Just a lot of love bombing and don't worry, God will fix everything. It is interesting to look through the book that so changed my life. I love the quote that says it will be too dangerous to live in this world soon, which has been a long time ago now.
I remember them bragging that it was a best seller. I think it was more of a best giver away, actually. Where is it now? Way out of date and definately not considered to be the truth any more by the jws.

At the hall last night

i had set it up with an elder ahead of time to get them.
i arrived after the meeting had ended, walked up to the counter anxious to leave as quickly as i came when a big brother came up to me, planted his body in between me and the literature servant and started giving me the third degree about who i am, what is my standing in the congregation, and what did i want the books for.

The Insight books and the concordance are not books that are usually offered door to door. It does sound like this guy was expecting you. How would that happen unless the elder you requested the literarure from told him? I think you need to ask this elder what happened. I smell a rat.
I do think it is going to get tighter and much less friendly at the kingdom hall. The future does not look so bright for the publishing company.

" she no longer prayed right up until her death.
in my opinion this in no way detracts from her being a wonderful, self sacrificing woman.

Those REVELATION BOOK changes in full
by AlphaOmega ina recent thread ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/139118/1.ashx ) raised the issue of charles taze russell not being the first president of the watchtower... it appears to be an argument of semantics because the society had a different name (as one poster pointed out in the thread).
the watchtower society obviously has some embarassment over this issue because the amendments to the revelation book dealt with this :.
